Renter’s Insurance

We carry building and liability insurance on all of our rental properties. This insurance covers the structure of the building, but does not cover any of the contents, including your belongings. We require our renters to maintain a current Renter’s Insurance Policy to insure their own personal possessions and to provide a measure of liability protection in case of property damage or mishap from the tenant. A minimum of $100,000 in liability protection is required.

The first month’s rent, security deposit, and any other fees are due before move in.


Transfer Utilities

  1. Go to the Hunstville Utilities website.

  2. Create an account or log in.

  3. Huntsville utilities will charge a $300 deposit($100 for customers with satisfactory credit), and a $70 account setup fee. We do not have any control over these fees. They are subject to change.

4. Select the “Move-In” service and schedule a transfer of the utilities into your name. Do not use the “move service”. You may need to complete this operation from a desktop computer and not a mobile device.

5. Huntsville Utilities will ask a few questions about the breakers and water at the property.

  1. Lighting of the Gas Pilot needed: No

  2. House Numbers are affixed to the location: Yes

  3. All breakers in off position: Yes

  4. All water faucets in off position: Yes
